Dr. Qin WANG 汪琴

Biography
Dr. Qin Wang is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. She received her Master in Science from Zhejiang University in 2019 and her PhD in Medicine from the University of Hong Kong in 2025. Her research primarily focuses on adipose biology, where she has elucidated the critical role of Annexin A8 in promoting obesity. In the context of fat-bone crosstalk, her work has established how subcutaneous and marrow adipose tissues differentially regulate bone resorption through depot-specific secretory mechanisms.

Dr. Hailan ZOU 鄒海蘭

Biography
Dr. ZOU received her Ph.D. from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. Her research endeavors, spanning both doctoral studies and postgraduate professional work, have been dedicated to elucidating the mechanisms and therapeutic strategies of diabetes-related diseases. Specifically, her work encompasses the immunopathogenic mechanisms underlying type 1 diabetes and its complications, and the rational design and development of combination therapies leveraging insulin-sensitizing adipokines with robust anti-diabetic properties.

Dr. Hao HAN , Vivian 韓灝

Biography
Ms. HAN is a PhD candidate at SKLPB, where she conducts translational research focused on developing next-generation diagnostic assays. Her work aims to bridge the gap between advanced biotechnology and clinical practice by creating tools that are both more effective and accessible. Moving beyond traditional methods like ELISA, she specializes in innovative proximity-based amplification techniques, including singleplex and multiplex immuno-PCR and immuno-RCA. Her research is specifically applied to building novel diagnostic platforms for autoimmune diseases (notably Type 1 Diabetes), neurodegenerative disorders (such as Alzheimer's Disease), and cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. Junda ZHONG 鐘俊達

Biography
Mr. Zhong Junda graduated in 2016 from Sun Yat-sen University and received his master’s degree and training of physician at Southern Medical School. He is currently a Research Assistant at the Department of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He received his training under the supervision of Prof. Aimin Xu in The University of Hong Kong. He has been working on diabetes and lipid metabolism as well as using mice and cell models.

Ms. Qiqi LIANG 梁琪琪

Recombinant protein engineering, focusing on Bacterial and mammalian cell expression platform and downstream purification system.
Biography
Qiqi Liang received her undergraduate training in Biological Science (Biochemistry) at the University of Edinburgh and completed her master’s degree in Metabolic Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on recombinant protein expression and purification, utilizing both bacterial and mammalian cell systems, including E.coli, ExpiCHO and stable CHO cell lines. Her expertise includes resolving expression instability, optimizing purification processes, and developing robust workflows for functional protein production.

Dr. Pei WAN, Cloud 萬佩

2. The development of non-invasive diagnostic methods (CLIA, PETIA, PEA) for chronic disease targets.

Biography
Dr. WAN Pei is currently a Senior Technical Officer in SKLPB. He received his BSc in Mathematics at the University of Liao Cheng in 2008, MSc in Biochemistry at The University of Ji Lin in 2011, and PhD in Clinical Medicine at the University of Hong Kong in 2025.

Ms. Jianyu YAO 姚建鈺

Biography
Ms. Yao has been a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong since 2022. After receiving her Master of Medicine degree from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in 2020, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Shenzhen Institute of Agricultural Genomics of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences until 2022.

Ms. WU Lihong 伍莉紅

Biography
Miss Lihong Wu is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. She received her bachelor's degree from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2017 and her master's degree from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in 2020.

Ms. Jue WANG 王玨

Biography
Jue Wang received her Master’s degree training at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, where she worked on the development of monoclonal antibodies targeting avian coronavirus spike proteins. In August 2025, she joined Professor Aimin Xu’s research group as a Research Assistant. She is currently based in Shenzhen, focusing on antibody production and bioreactor-based cell culture.

Mr. Yucheng LUO 羅淯鋮

Biography
Mr. Yucheng Luo is currently a Student Research Assistant at the Department of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He received his Bachelor of Medicine from Shenzhen University. He is currently pursuing his Master of Surgery (Plastic Surgery) at Southern Medical University and is a visiting student at the State Key Laboratory of Biopharmaceutical Technology. His research focuses on adipose tissue metabolic aging, bioinformatics and AI4Biology, as well as biomedical research and discovery driven by data and cutting-edge methods.

Dr. JIANG Mengxue 姜夢雪

Biography
Jiang Mengxue obtained bachelor’s degree from Anhui medical university and master’s degree from Xiamen university. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at The University of Hong Kong, where she currently works as a Research Assistant.
